ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

As our Accounting Supervisor, you will lead the full-cycle accounting function, oversee financial reporting and controls, manage budgeting and cash flow, and provide strategic insights to ownership. You’ll partner closely with operations to support inventory management and manufacturing costing, while strengthening internal processes to scale for future growth. We’re seeking a motivated individual with strong manufacturing expertise, sound judgment, and a hands-on approach – someone excited to roll up their sleeves, contribute at a leadership level, and make a visible impact in a respected company with deep roots and global reach.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, payables and receivables, cash management, credit approvals, manufacturing journals, and inventory control.

Preparation of monthly financial statements including income statement and balance sheet.

Prepare and analyzes various other management reports. Manages accounting period closing procedures.

Supervises and provides training/mentoring for a small team of accounting staff (2-3 people).

Reviews and verifies the accuracy of all journal entries and accounting classifications considering internal accounting policies and procedures, GAAP standards, and regulatory requirements.

Assembles data and prepares periodic special reports that measure company performance.

Collects and transmits confidential information to higher levels for decision making purposes. Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices.

Calculation of commissions/royalties, preparation of payroll journals, and allocation of indirect labour to the proper divisions
-
Enforces credit and collection procedures with customers which include collection calls, review of credit applications and accounts receivable follow-up to expedite payments.

Support insurance, risk management, and government reporting requirements

Administration and monitoring of company credit cards. Assists with payroll function as required.

Calculate and submit monthly tax remittances (HST, BC, QST) – MST annually.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
-
Must have completed 3 years of a college or university accounting program.
-
5 or more years of experience in a related position.
-
Manufacturing background and experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Advanced skills using Excel preferred.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to work within a team.

BILINGUAL (FRENCH) SALES ASSISTANT
Guspro Inc. is looking for a bilingual (French) Sales Assistant, focusing on supporting the Customer Service Department by furthering their knowledge of our products while assisting in the maintenance and development of the sales lifecycle. The position will report to the Sales Manager, working alongside both the Sales Manager and the Customer Service Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Comfortably and effectively communicate with customer base about product offering
-
Understand customer needs, their requirements and support them where necessary
-
Qualify leads and route them to the appropriate sales rep and/or department for development where/when necessary
-
Actively researching and discovering new prospective clients
-
Lead generation via traditional systems (ERP system) and by mining new creative methods (socials, cold calling, new tradeshow opportunities etc)
-
Cold call on customers to promote our various product offerings
-
Follow up on preexisting quotes to customers on behalf of the sales team
-
Presenting and deliver information to potential customers, such as pitch decks (PowerPoint), quotations etc.
-
Some light travel will be required
-
Attend trade shows to help promote the product and mine post-show leads
Qualifications
-
Bilingualism is a prerequisite
-
Minimal one-year experience in a relevant sales or customer service role
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Extroverted and persuasiveness a must
-
An in-depth understanding of the company’s services and manufactured goods
-
Ability to multitask and prioritize time and tasks alike
-
Comfortable with the product line, both in theory and in practicum
-
Capable of working independently and with limited direction
-
Able to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when dealing with the next customer and so on
-
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
-
Willing to accept appropriate added duties when asked/where needed.
